Dental Patient Coordinator - Patchogue, NY

About the role

Babylon Dental Care is seeking a Patient Coordinator to join our dynamic and vibrant team. The role is located at our Gateway Plaza location in Patchogue, NY.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients about their treatment plans and associated fees
• Help patients understand their dental insurance benefits
• Work with patient care financing companies
• Send pre-determination requests to insurance companies
• Collaborate with the financial team to collect patient balances
• Respond to live chats and website leads
• Keep up-to-date with email communications
• Handle patient checkouts professionally
• Schedule future appointments
• Answer treatment questions
• Participate in morning or afternoon huddles
• Mentor new team members
• Follow up with patients who haven't scheduled treatment
• Ensure payment policies are honored
• Encourage patient feedback and referrals
• Generate and review reports as directed
• Monitor treatment plans and case acceptance

Requirements

• 3 or more years experience in a dental front desk position
• Flexibility in scheduling (open 6 days a week)
• Exceptional hospitality-inspired customer service
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to calculate percentages accurately
• Positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude
• Outstanding teamwork skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (optional)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• College degree optional

Skills

• Knowledge of Dentrix Ascend (or other dental software) helpful but not mandatory
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Calm under pressure
• Strong communication skills

Pay

$22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule

Open 6 days a week, including early morning, late evenings, and some holidays. Most Patient Coordinators work every other Saturday.
