Key Essential Functions And Accountabilities Of The Job
- Schedules appointments for multiple providers.
- Maintains and creates specialty clinic schedules.
- Manages patient scheduling.
- Directs phone calls to appropriate care providers.
- Maintains voicemail system with proper delegation of patient needs/tasks.
- Fulfills SEARHC Dental guidelines for reminder systems.
- Answers patient billing questions.
- Takes necessary actions to resolve accounts.
- Coordinates benefits and performs insurance eligibility/benefit verification.
- Posts payments to patients' accounts.
- Creates treatment estimates and applies discounts.
- Generates Service Authorization for Medicaid and VA.
- Balances clinic financials daily.
Administrative Accountabilities
- Provides primary receptionist services.
- Receives and directs incoming calls.
- Assists with patient registration paperwork.
- Manages patient referrals to outside agencies.
Other Functions
- Performs other duties as assigned.
