Dental Patient Access Representative

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor dental insurance claims
• Verify insurance coverage
• Investigate denied claims for possible reprocessing
• Maintain accurate patient account information
• Absorb and assist patients with billing-related questions
• Serve as a backup for patient access activities, including answering telephone calls, scheduling appointments, and patient registration

Requirements

• Must be a skilled individual who can prioritize work to accommodate patient flow and work in a fast-paced setting
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask
• Function independently and provide excellent customer service skills
• General computer knowledge required
• Previous experience in dental billing, patient access, medical office, or dental office operations preferred but not required
