Responsibilities
- Instructional Delivery & Classroom Leadership:
- Prepare and deliver high-quality daily lesson plans, lectures, and active learning activities aligned with course objectives.
- Track student progress, identify learning gaps early, and provide targeted tutoring or intervention for at-risk students.
- Clinical & Lab Supervision:
- Provide expert chairside guidance in preclinical and laboratory environments, reinforcing didactic concepts through hands-on practice.
- Compliance & Program Administration:
- Assist in continuous curriculum evaluation and accreditation reporting to maintain CODA program standards.
- Maintain precise and timely student attendance, grade books, and academic records per institutional and CODA policies.
- Professional Mentorship:
- Deliver constructive, substantive evaluations that build student clinical confidence, critical thinking, and professional development.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (Baccalaureate) from an academic institution accredited by an agency recognized by the USDE or CHEA.
- Program Graduate: Graduation from a CODA-accredited Dental Hygiene or Dental program.
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of full-time clinical experience as a Dental Hygienist or Dentist.
- Licensure: Current, active Texas state license to practice dental hygiene or dentistry, plus all state-required credentials (including CPR certification).
- Technical Literacy: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Workspace.
Pay
Hiring range: $31.00 to $38.75 per hour, based on experience.
