Dental Hygienist

Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic dental hygienist who loves building and maintaining positive relationships with patients to join our team! Our dental hygienists perform a variety of preventative procedures and educate patients on oral hygiene. From routine cleanings to oral health education, you’ll help patients achieve and maintain their best smiles. In addition to technical duties, you will teach appropriate oral hygiene techniques and counsel patients on nutrition’s impact on oral health. You’ll partner with the dentist(s) to provide the best treatment, benefit from a dedicated hygiene support team for coaching and mentorship, and work in an environment that engages you professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide oral hygiene services including thorough and gentle prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polishing restorations, and applying cavity‑preventative agents such as fluorides and sealants.
• Accurately chart patient dental history, update periodontal health records, document provided treatment, and handle patient records securely in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide assistance as directed by the dentist.
• Administer local anesthetics, if allowed by the dental practice act.

Qualifications

• A degree or certificate in dental hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to manage time efficiently.
• Excellent verbal skills for professional communication with patients and staff.
• Ability to travel between locations preferred.
