Dental Hygienist

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine dental cleanings (prophylaxis) and periodontal maintenance.
• Conduct comprehensive periodontal assessments and oral health screenings.
• Review and update patient medical and dental histories.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
• Assist the dentist with treatment planning and patient education.
• Monitor and identify signs of periodontal disease and other oral health concerns.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Follow infection control, sterilization, and OSHA safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide a positive, comfortable patient experience.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Hygienist license (state-specific) or eligibility for licensure.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong clinical knowledge of preventive dentistry and periodontal care.
• Experience performing dental prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Career-oriented, patient-focused approach to care.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Previous experience in a general dentistry practice is preferred; motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply.
