About the role
The Dental Hygienist provides preventive dental care, patient education, and maintains high-quality clinical procedures in a supportive practice environment.
Responsibilities
- Performing thorough patient screenings and dental hygiene procedures, including 60-minute recare and 90-minute new patient appointments.
- Utilizing dental technology such as digital x-rays, Velscope, and digital scanners.
- Collaborating with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care and education.
- Maintaining accurate medical and dental histories and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current dental hygiene license in Missouri and relevant educational credentials.
- Knowledge of dental procedures, patient screening, and documentation.
- CPR certification required.
- Preferred experience with digital tools, Velscope, Diagnodent, and electronic health records.
Key Attributes & Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties, including prolonged sitting and standing, lifting up to 45 pounds, and attending training sessions.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy environment, including TB testing.
