Dental Hygienist

About the role

We are a fast-growing, patient-centered dental practice located in the South Elgin area. Our dedicated staff is seeking a reliable dental hygienist to join our team in providing top-notch dental care.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene procedures, including periodontal therapies, prophy's, taking x-rays, and applying fluoride treatments
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide recommendations for at-home care
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile and organized work environment
• Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and medical history in dental software
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and provide excellent patient care

Requirements

• Valid Illinois Dental Hygiene License
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
