Role Overview
A Dental Hygienist is responsible for providing preventive dental care, patient education, and supporting overall oral health.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including recare and new patient appointments.
- Utilize dental technology such as Velscope, digital scanners, and x-rays.
- Maintain accurate patient medical history documentation and screening.
- Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Participate in continuing education and mentorship opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current dental hygienist license in the applicable state.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required).
- Knowledge of dental procedures, patient screening, and medical documentation.
- CPR certification.
- Preferred experience with digital tools, electronic records, and preventative care.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical skills.
Physical & Other Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties, lift up to 45 pounds, and attend training sessions.
- TB testing is required for safety.
