About the role

As a Part-Time Dental Hygienist at ForwardDental Oconomowoc, you'll be part of a supportive team dedicated to delivering exceptional dental care. You'll work closely with a variety of patients and contribute to the success of a thriving dental practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, including oral exams, cleaning, and preventive care
  • Document patient histories and dental examinations accurately
  • Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills

Requirements

  • Current dental hygienist license in WI
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry and dental hygiene procedures
  • CPR Certification

Qualifications

  • Desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills
  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems
  • Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation

Schedule

The schedule is Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting and standing
  • Able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times

Other Information

  • TB test required for all new hires in dental office positions
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year
