Dental Hygienist

About the role

A Dental Hygienist provides preventive dental care, patient education, and supports overall oral health within a busy practice. The position involves conducting patient screenings, dental hygiene procedures, and utilizing advanced technology such as digital scanners and Velscope.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care and education
• Perform dental screenings, cleanings, and periodontal assessments
• Utilize dental technology and electronic health records
• Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Collaborate with a team of dental professionals to enhance patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe, hygienic environment and adhere to practice protocols

Requirements

• Perform essential dental hygiene duties with or without reasonable accommodations
• Prolonged sitting and standing; ability to lift up to 45 pounds
• Attend periodic training sessions; TB test required prior to employment

Qualifications

• Current Missouri dental hygienist license and relevant degrees
• Knowledge of dental procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation
• CPR certification
• Experience with digital x-rays, Velscope, Diagnodent, and electronic records is preferred
