Specific Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, application of fluoride and sealantsDetect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recessionSelection of materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient’s oral healthEducate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructionsDocument dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient chartsPreparation of treatment rooms, ensuring instruments and equipment are sterileBreakdown of treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments are returned for sterilization promptlyTake x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA Requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelinesPossess a professional and positive attitudeAssociate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene programValid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH) Benefits 401(k)401(k) matchingEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insurancePaid time offReferral programRetirement plan Location Hours Monday - 8:00am - 8:00pmTuesday - 8:00am - 8:00pmWednesday - 8:00am - 8:00pmThursday - 8:00am - 8:00pmFriday - 8:00am - 5:00pmSaturday - 8:00am - 2:00pm We believe that satisfying all of our patients' needs is our most important goal.
