The practice serves a diverse and loyal patient base, allowing hygienists to build lasting relationships while practicing comprehensive care in a collaborative, multi-provider setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive hygiene care including cleanings, scaling, root planing, and fluoride treatments
- Educate patients on oral health, prevention, and long-term care strategies
- Capture and interpret digital x-rays
- Identify periodontal and restorative needs and collaborate with the dentist
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure OSHA/HIPAA compliance
- Create a comfortable, positive experience for every patient
- Support a smooth, efficient daily schedule and patient flow
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program (required)
- Active NY State Dental Hygienist license and CPR certification (required)
- 1–2+ years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome
- Local anesthesia certification (a plus)
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
- Team-oriented attitude with a focus on quality care
Schedule
- Part-time: Tuesdays and Thursdays
