About the role

Join our friendly, experienced team at South Riding Smiles! We're seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Dental Hygienist who values building relationships, educating patients, and working in a positive, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive periodontal charting
  • Take diagnostic digital radiographs
  • Provide prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance
  • Administer scaling and root planing (SRP)
  • Apply fluoride treatments and preventive therapies
  • Educate patients on oral health and home care
  • Build lasting relationships through exceptional communication and compassionate care
  • Collaborate with doctors and teammates to provide an outstanding patient experience

Requirements

  • Active Virginia Dental Hygiene License (or is currently awaiting licensure—we welcome you to apply!)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience providing comprehensive dental hygiene services, including:
    • Periodontal charting
    • Digital X-rays
    • Prophylaxis
    • Scaling & Root Planing (SRP)
    • Patient education
    • Fluoride treatments
    • Preventive dental care
  • A positive attitude and a team-first mindset
  • Passion for delivering excellent patient care

Qualifications

  • Active Virginia Dental Hygiene License (or is currently awaiting licensure—we welcome you to apply!)

Pay

$65–$67/hour

$5,000 Sign-On Bonus

Schedule

Monday–Thursday

7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Enjoy three-day weekends every week!

1.25-hour new patient appointments

SRP appointments scheduled based on severity

Modern technology including iTero Scanner, Dental Lasers, and Dentrix
