Dental Hygiene Assistant (Dental Assistant II)

About the role

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is seeking a Full-time Dental Hygiene Assistant in their Clayton-Flowers practice. This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in their patients' lives.

Responsibilities

• Assists the hygienist in providing dental treatment
• Functions as a treatment coordinator and prepares and presents treatment plans to patients
• Schedules patient appointments to accommodate potential obstacles
• Maintains dental instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Captures and records patient health histories
• Aids in patient management during dental procedures
• Completes instrument cleaning and sterilization and post-op sanitization of treatment rooms
• Prepares dental materials and equipment as needed for scheduled treatments
• Completes dental charting
• Responsible for inventory supply and other ancillary duties

Requirements

• Essential: Prior dental hygiene assistant experience, CDA certification, or equivalent
• Preferred: CPR certified, Coronal Polishing Certification, proficiency in Eaglesoft or Denticon software
• Regular and timely attendance required
• Flexible and able to adapt to different work assignments
• Positive attitude and ability to maintain confidentiality
