Dental Hygiene Assistant (DAII) - Future Opportunities in the Triangle

About the role

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is seeking a Full-time Dental Hygiene Assistant in the Triangle Area. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a team that values its employees' well-being and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assists the hygienist in providing dental treatment
• Functions as a treatment coordinator and prepares and presents treatment plans to patients
• Schedules patient appointments to accommodate potential obstacles
• Maintains dental instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Collections and records patient health histories
• Aids in patient management during dental procedures
• Completes instrument cleaning & sterilization and post-op sanitization of treatment rooms
• Prepares dental materials and equipment as needed for the scheduled treatment
• Completes dental charting
• Responsible for inventory supply and other ancillary duties

Requirements

• Essential: Previous Dental Hygiene Assistant experience, CDA certification, or equivalent, CPR certified, Coronial Polishing Certification, knowledge of Eaglesoft/Denticon, flexibility, ability to take initiative, dependability, and promptness, ability to follow instructions, confidentiality, ability to listen and clarify, ability to exercise independent thinking and judgment, ability to work independently and as part of a team, ability to accept different work assignments, ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to maintain confidentiality, ability to work with patients and their families.
• Preferred: Experience with dental software, additional certifications.
