Dental Hygiene Assistant

Responsibilities

• Aid the dental hygienist during patient treatment and preventive procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are fully stocked and sanitized.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
• Take digital radiographs in accordance with Nevada regulations.
• Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort throughout the visit.
• Enter clinical notes and assist with chart documentation as directed.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment instructions.
• Maintain supplies and equipment in accordance with office protocols.
• Provide outstanding customer service while creating a welcoming environment for every patient.
• Support the dental team with additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience assisting a dental hygienist preferred.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, and radiography.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
