About the role

As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you will support the office and assist professional dental staff with treatment. We value preventive oral health care and offer opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic, supportive practice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization
• Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress
• Update patient health history and chart treatment progress
• Expose and develop radiographs (if certified)
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
• Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments
• Support the hygienist with patient scheduling, treatment recommendations, and office recall systems
• Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (Required)
• At least 1 year of hands-on dental assisting experience
• Registered Dental Assistant certification (Required)
• Radiology certification (Required)
• CPR certification (Preferred but can be obtained upon hiring)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort

Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 7:45am – 5pm
• Wednesday: 6:45am – 4pm
• Friday: 6:45am – 1pm
