About the role

The Pediatric Dental Assistant at Pediatric Dental of Oklahoma is a key member of the team, responsible for a variety of tasks that support the care of pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Expose digital diagnostic X-Rays
• Record clinical findings and treatment information in patient records
• Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients
• Clean teeth, using dental instruments including toothbrush and prophy cup
• Apply fluoride varnish, Sealants, and SDF
• Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs
• Pour, trim, and polish study casts
• Absorb and assist in consults and treatment of tongue and lip ties on infants and children
• Absorb and assist chairside with nitrous while utilizing behavior guidance techniques
• Absorb and assist chairside during IV Sedation
• Absorb and assist in the hospital for general anesthesia surgery cases
• Maintain a daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule
• Cement stainless steel crowns, and space maintainers**
• Fill and finish restorations**

Pay

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with Tuesday and Friday rotating Surgery days from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
