Dental Assistant (Part-Time)

About the Role

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high-quality and compassionate care to all patients, with a focus on underserved children.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records
• Obtain quality dental radiographs (periapicals, bitewings, panoramic) as requested by the dentist
• Write accurate and consistent notes, ensuring chart notes match services completed
• Create a friendly relationship with patients and parents while educating them on good oral health
• Organize and sterilize dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards
• Ensure the practice is clean and presentable to patients, including cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services

Requirements

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) is a plus
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred
• Current BLS CPR certification

Pay

$18–$24 per hour
