Your Responsibilities Will Include Assist the Oral Surgeon during oral surgery and surgical dental proceduresPrepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for proceduresMaintain appropriate infection control and sterile techniqueTake digital dental radiographs as neededPrepare patients for procedures and help them feel comfortable throughout their visitProvide patients with pre-operative and post-operative instructionsMonitor patients and communicate concerns to the Oral Surgeon and dental teamMaintain accurate and thorough patient recordsEnsure surgical instruments and equipment are properly prepared and maintainedCommunicate effectively with dental teams at each office locationHelp maintain an organized, clean, and efficient surgical environment What We’re Looking For Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in Iowa requiredDental assisting experience preferredPrevious oral surgery or surgical dental experience is a plusWilling to train the right Dental Assistant who is interested in oral surgeryStrong communication and patient care skillsCompassionate and professional chairside mannerExcellent attention to detailOrganized and dependableComfortable working independently and as part of a teamAdaptable and able to work in different office environmentsWillingness and ability to travel between Kimball & Beecher locations Travel & Schedule This is a traveling oral surgery position supporting our Oral Surgeon at multiple Kimball & Beecher offices throughout Iowa.
