Dental Assistant - Oral Surgery

About the role

As an Oral Surgeon Dental Assistant at Aspen Dental, you will play a crucial role in supporting the clinical needs of the practice's patients and doctors. Your responsibilities will include assisting during various treatment procedures, taking dental X-rays, setting up and breaking down operatory post-treatment, managing infection control, educating patients on oral hygiene, and collaborating with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Travel to nearby offices to support patient care
• Absorb and apply new knowledge through continuing education (CE)
• Support the clinical needs of the practice’s patients and doctors
• Assist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Take dental X-rays
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
• Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Provide educational guidance on oral hygiene
• Collaborate with other members of the dental team to ensure exceptional patient care

Qualifications

• Active license, registration, or permit as required by the state of practice, including x-ray certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
• High school diploma or equivalent
