Dental Assistant II-Baseline (Mon-Fri: 8am-5pm)

Essential Functions

• Affords assistance to dental providers and hygienists in delivering dental-related services.
• Executes routine radiographic imaging as per Arizona Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) Certificate requirements.
• Performs child and adult prophylaxis, fluoride treatments, and dental sealants as per Arizona Coronary Polishing (CP) Certificate guidelines.
• Accurately records treatment details and prepares treatment plans on dental charts, entering progress notes and treatment plans into patient files.
• Communicates with patients about their treatment, including instructions, directions, and consents, following the guidance of dentists and hygienists.
• Instructs patients and parents on oral hygiene practices and clearly communicates treatment plans and fees.
• Prepares and maintains dental trays and instruments, completing Instrument Processing: Level 2 Competency.
• Maintains the cleanliness and inventory of dental equipment and picks up, delivers, and updates the status of dental laboratory cases.
• Collaborates with dental back office and front office team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Travels to other Mountain Park locations as assigned, including shifts that may involve a location change to support patient care as organizational needs dictate.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Position Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Dental Assistant Certificate.
• AZ Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) Certificate.
• AZ Coronary Polishing (CP) Certificate.
• Current CPR Certification.
