Dental Assistant II

About the role

This position performs core dental duties including coronal polishing, temporary crown fabrication, impressions, pit and fissure sealants, and assisting during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside support during dental procedures
• Room patients, including seating and dismissing
• Perform sterilization of instruments and equipment
• Take and process dental x-rays
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and care
• Maintain accurate treatment records
• Set up and break down operatory rooms
• Provide excellent patient care and comfort
• Perform administrative support tasks such as scheduling, billing, and tracking lab cases
• Assist with training new dental assistants

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
• Valid RDA license
• Certification in Dental Practice Act, Infection Control, BLS, Radiation Safety, and Sealants

Skills

• Professionalism and strong teamwork abilities
• Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office
• Excellent multitasking and communication skills
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand for extended periods

Work Environment

Clinical setting with exposure to bodily fluids, chemicals, and potential contact with individuals in crisis. Strict adherence to safety and health policies is required.
