Responsibilities
- Assists the dentist in providing dental treatment
- Functions as a treatment coordinator and prepares/presents treatment plans to patients
- Schedules patient appointments while accommodating potential obstacles
- Maintains dental instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Collects and records patient health histories
- Assists with patient management during dental procedures
- Completes instrument cleaning, sterilization, and post-op sanitization of treatment rooms
- Prepares dental materials and equipment for scheduled treatments
- Completes dental charting
- Manages inventory supply and performs ancillary duties
Requirements
- Dental Assistant training or equivalent
- Preferred 2-5 years of Dental Assistant experience
- Achieved CDA certification, or completed radiological equivalency exam through NC State Board of Dental Examiners, or completed CODA-accredited dental assisting program
- CPR certified (or willing to become certified within 30 days of hire)
- Ability to professionally present clinical and insurance information to patients
- Knowledge of Eaglesoft and/or Denticon software is a plus
- Regular and timely attendance
- Independent thinking, good judgment, and ability to implement operating practices
- Teamwork approach to job responsibilities

- Flexibility to accept different work assignments, including traveling to other locations, with a positive approach
- Ability to follow instructions and take responsibility for actions
- Confidentiality with patients and patient care

Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Thursday.
