Essential Functions
- Affords assistance to dental providers and hygienists in delivering dental-related services.
- Executes routine radiographic imaging as per Arizona Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) Certificate requirements.
- Provides historical reference by accurately and efficiently documenting treatments, coding charges, preparing treatment plans on dental charts, and entering progress notes/treatment plans into patient files.
- Shares information with patients, including treatment details, scheduling, and insurance authorization, following the guidance of dentists and hygienists.
- Instructs patients and parents on oral hygiene practices and communicates treatment plans and fees.
- Prepares and maintains dental trays and instruments.
- Completes Instrument Processing: Level 2 Competency.
- Maintains the cleanliness and inventory of dental equipment.
- Picks up, delivers, and updates the status of dental laboratory cases.
- Collaborates with dental back office and front office team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Travels to other Mountain Park locations as needed, including shifts that may involve a location change to support patient care.
Position Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Dental Assistant Certificate.
- Current CPR Certification.
- AZ Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) certificate or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
