Dental Assistant I-Goodyear

Essential Functions

• Affords assistance to dental providers and hygienists in delivering dental-related services.
• Executes routine radiographic imaging as per Arizona Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) Certificate requirements.
• Provides historical reference by accurately and efficiently documenting treatments, coding charges, preparing treatment plans on dental charts, and entering progress notes/treatment plans into patient files.
• Shares information with patients, including treatment details, scheduling, and insurance authorization, following the guidance of dentists and hygienists.
• Instructs patients and parents on oral hygiene practices and communicates treatment plans and fees.
• Prepares and maintains dental trays and instruments.
• Completes Instrument Processing: Level 2 Competency.
• Maintains the cleanliness and inventory of dental equipment.
• Picks up, delivers, and updates the status of dental laboratory cases.
• Collaborates with dental back office and front office team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Travels to other Mountain Park locations as needed, including shifts that may involve a location change to support patient care.

Position Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Dental Assistant Certificate.
• Current CPR Certification.
• AZ Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) certificate or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
