Taking X-rays

Takes x-ray images as prescribed by the dental provider.

Assisting Providers

Aids the dental provider and hygienists in delivering dental related services.

Recording and Coding

• Accurately and efficiently records treatment
• Accurately codes charges for services
• Prepares treatment plans on dental charts
• Enters progress notes/treatment plans in patient’s file

Communicating with Patients

• Relays information, instructions, directions, and/or consent to patients, parents, or guardians regarding treatment
• Instructs patients, parents, or guardians in oral hygiene
• Accurately communicates treatment plans and fees to patients

Dental Equipment Maintenance

• Prepares and maintains all dental trays and instruments
• Maintains the sterilization/cleanliness and inventory of dental equipment

Laboratory Cases

Responsible for the pickup, delivery, and communication regarding the status of dental laboratory cases.

Collaboration

Collaborates with dental back office and front office team members to ensure quality patient care.

Follow-Up

Follows up with patients that have received a surgical dental procedure within two (2) business days to inquire if the patient is having any complications due to the procedure.

Attendance and Other Duties

• Maintains regular and predictable attendance
• Performs other duties as required
