Dental Assistant I

Schedule

• Monday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
• Tuesday & Wednesday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Thursday: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
• Friday: 7:00 am – 2:00 pm (2nd Friday)

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists, including charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health history; make chart entries under the doctor's direction; assure completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Review the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
• Prepare patients, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, maintain chain of asepsis, prepare materials, and assist dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
• Expose and develop dental diagnostic radiographs.
• Follow OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training
• 1–5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates
• Radiography/X-ray certification for respective state
• CPR certification required
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
