About the role
Pamlico Dental Services is seeking a Dental Assistant I to join their team in Bayboro, NC.
Responsibilities
- Provides assistance in the delivery of dental treatment.
- Sets up patients, records vital signs, and charts medical/dental histories.
- Charts oral conditions as directed by the dental provider.
- Prepares dental instruments for procedures.
- Obtains dental radiographs as necessary.
- Supports dental providers during procedures.
- Maintains dental handpieces, cleans, sanitizes, and sterilizes dental operatories and instruments.
- Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains dental laboratories.
- Processes lab cases and assists with impression taking and model trimming.
- Assists the practice manager as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Work-related skills at a higher level than high school completion, including strong written and verbal communication, computational, and computer skills.
- Knowledge and training in dental assisting typically gained through completion of a dental assisting program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
