Dental Assistant (FT)

About the role

The Center for Dental Excellence is seeking a skilled and compassionate full-time Dental Assistant to join their team. You will work closely with dentists and other team members to provide exceptional dental care to patients and perform light administrative duties. The team is small and cross-trained, allowing for flexibility and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during dental procedures
• Prepare treatment areas and equipment
• Administer local anesthesia
• Perform routine dental procedures
• Manage patient records and scheduling
• Ensure sterilization and infection control protocols are followed
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff

Requirements

• Certification in coronal polishing and sealant application (preferred but not required)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with chairside dental assisting
• Knowledge of sterilization protocols to OSHA regulations
• CPR certification
• Proficiency in computer systems for charting and scheduling
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with patients and colleagues
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and techniques
