About the Role
The Dental Assistant supports dental professionals in the daily operation of the dental clinic, aligning with NARA’s health and wellness objectives for patients and families. This role ensures dental health services are delivered in a professional, unbiased, and efficient environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Dentist at chairside using basic and expanded function dental assistant techniques.
- Operate dental x-ray equipment, take intraoral and digital radiographs, develop and mount film, or store images in electronic files.
- Maintain aseptic conditions during surgical procedures, stabilize tissue, cut sutures, and monitor patients for signs of distress (e.g., fainting or shock).
- Complete required sterilization procedures for equipment, operatories, and the lab sterilization area.
- Accurately maintain electronic patient charts and records.
- Provide patients with instructions on basic dental care or post-operative care as directed by the Dentist.
Schedule
This is an in-person position, Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM – 3:45 PM.
Pay
$26.25 – $32.55 hourly (Non-Exempt).
