Dental Assistant

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. delivers quality healthcare to underserved populations. As a Dental Assistant at Anthony Correctional Center in White Sulphur Springs, WV, you will work under the supervision of a Dentist to support patient care and ensure smooth, efficient dental operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chair-side during exams and procedures
• Prepare patients for treatment and support dental hygiene education
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
• Set up and break down treatment areas and equipment
• Take and process intra-oral x-rays as permitted
• Maintain accurate patient records within the medical record system
• Manage dental supplies, inventory, and equipment maintenance
• Support dental sick call and emergency screenings
• Ensure the dental clinic remains clean, stocked, and ready for daily operations

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• Experience working in a dental setting and/or correctional health care preferred
• CPR certification required
• Dental certification preferred

Schedule

Part-time: Tuesday and Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
