Dental Assistant
About the role
The position will start as a fixed-term for 6 months with the possibility of getting converted to permanent. Responsibilities
- Provides both administrative and comprehensive skilled chair-side assisting services for patients during dental treatment procedures for clinical faculty, doctoral dental students, and post-doctoral students in clinical unit(s) and/or affiliated practices.
- Works independently with moderate technical guidance.
Requirements
- Education: Associate's Degree
- Experience: 6-12 months
- Field of Expertise: Working knowledge of dental management systems, preferably AxiUm. Bilingual skills in (Spanish and English) verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated experience and skills in a variety of dental disciplines.
Qualifications
- Possesses a current California Registered Dental Assistant License, current California X-Ray Certificate, current CPR Certification, and current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Certification.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal patient service skills, and ability to multi-task.
- Proper sterilization and instrument management techniques.
- High volume, fast paced environment experience.
- Team-oriented and collaborative work style.
- Ability to travel to and from various local locations.

Pay
The hourly rate range for this position is $19.50 - $25.00.
Schedule
The position is expected to be full-time.
