Dental Assistant

About the role

The Smilist is a dental practice aiming to offer high-quality care in a warm and professional setting. They are looking for a Dental Assistant who can contribute to their mission of providing excellent dental care.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while addressing their individual concerns and enhancing the doctor's good qualities
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and welcoming environment, preparing patients for treatment and assisting doctors in providing efficient dental care
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and manage supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as necessary
• Perform other duties as directed by management

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant, at least 1 year
• Active NJ x-ray license
• RDA/CDA certification preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude
