Dental Assistant

About the role

The ADA Forsyth Faculty Associates Dental Clinic seeks a motivated Dental Assistant to join their growing clinical team. The clinic provides dental care to the community while advancing oral and overall health through research and education.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance during general dental procedures
• Prepare and break down treatment rooms in accordance with OSHA and infection control standards
• Take and process dental radiographs (must be certified)
• Clean, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Perform autoclave maintenance and ensure proper disposal of clinical waste
• Maintain clinical areas, including treatment and x-ray rooms
• Update patient records and assist with inventory management

Requirements

• Dental Assistant Certificate (minimum 1-year program; 2-year program preferred)
• Radiology certification required
• At least 2 years of dental assisting experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages
• Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to excellent patient care
• Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required
