Dental Assistant

About the role

Curtis Roy & Associates is now hiring a Full Time Dental Assistant in Lafayette, LA. The position offers a schedule of Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 7:45 am - 5:00 pm, Wednesday 7:45 am - 4:00 pm, and Friday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dentists chairside
• Welcome patients
• Prepares patients for treatments or checkups ensuring comfort
• Selects and sets up instrumentation, equipment and other dental materials as needed
• Ensures proper instrument sterilization according to regulations
• Maintains accurate patient records
• Performs lab tasks as instructed
• Provides post-operative care instructions
• Maintains clean and stocked operatories

Requirements

• Dental Assistant training/school certification
• 2 or more years of dental assisting clinical experience
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Experience with digital software
• Excellent interpersonal skills
