Charles Street Dental is a friendly, close-knit dental practice seeking a compassionate and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures (required experience with scanning and fabricating temporaries)
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
- Set up and break down treatment rooms before and after procedures
- Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Prepare and manage patient charts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
- Assist with taking dental impressions and preparing materials for dental appliances
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
- Welcome patients and ensure patient comfort and help ease anxiety during treatments
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards in the practice
- Other tasks as instructed
Qualifications
- Active Maryland dental assistant EFDA license
- Maryland Radiology license required
- Must have ability to guide doctor through multiple chairs, friendly, patient centric personality, team player, timely and reliable
- Dental Assistant training/school certification
- 2 or more years of dental assisting clinical experience
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Experience with digital software
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
Schedule
- Monday - Thursday 7:15 AM-4:30 PM
- 60-minute lunch breaks
- Fridays off!
Pay
- Competitive compensation $26.00 - $28.00 hourly rate based upon experience
