About the role
New South Endodontics PLLC in Johnson City, TN is seeking a talented Dental Assistant to join their busy specialty practice.
Responsibilities
- Maintain excellent patient service
- Lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the Dentist’s shoulders
- Ensure patients’ needs, concerns, and questions are answered
- Help patients feel relaxed and comfortable during their visit
- Prepare patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Aid the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
- Schedule appointments and post-op visits
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Aid with payment procedures
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of proven experience as dental assistant & front office representative
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- A strong attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- A high school diploma
- A certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law)
- An active state radiology license (if required by law)

Base Pay Range: $22 - $24 USD
Schedule
Office Hours: 7:30am - 5:30pm
