Dental Assistant

About the role

We are a mobile dental practice that travels to senior care facilities to provide dental and hygiene services on-site. This is a part-time or full-time position offering higher compensation than a standard office. You will assist with general office upkeep and patient care, working primarily with elderly patients in their communities.

You will be expected to arrive at our storage office as early as 8:00 AM to transport mobile equipment to a senior care facility and return it at the end of the day for sterilization. Mileage and tolls are reimbursed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist with dental procedures.
• Prepare patients for dental procedures.
• Prepare equipment and instruments for use during dental procedures.
• Follow sterilization and safety procedures while assisting in dental procedures.
• Clean, disinfect, and store equipment used during dental procedures.
• Transport equipment and supplies to and from clinic sites using your personal vehicle.

Requirements

• Current x-ray certification with a minimum of 2 years of experience in dental assisting.
• Enjoy working with elderly patients (geriatric experience is a plus but not required).
• Willing and able to transport equipment in your own personal vehicle (a standard 4-door sedan is sufficient, but an SUV or crossover may be preferable).

Pay

$22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Schedule

• 8-hour or 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
