About the role
Indiana Dental Outreach is a school-based mobile dental practice seeking a Dental Assistant in Indianapolis, IN and surrounding areas. This role offers dental care to underserved children in a unique setting with a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities
- Dental Assisting Services during mobile dental clinics
- Digital X-ray Imaging
- Charting Patient Records
- Equipment Set-up, Breakdown, and Sterilization
- Travel Daily to and from school sites
- Work a school day schedule (about 6 – 7 hours); on average between 8:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.
Qualifications
- X-ray License
- Digital X-ray Imaging experience
- Coronal Polishing (preferred, not required)
- CPR certified
- Work experience as a Dental Assistant
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and willing to travel
- Works well with children
- Organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task
- Team player and able to work on a small team

Smile Programs provides preventative and restorative care to approximately 500,000 children per year.
