Dental Assistant

About the Role

Harlem Irving Family Dental supported by Smile Brands is looking for a dedicated and friendly Dental Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on patient care, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and is committed to creating a comfortable and engaging experience for every patient.

Schedule

• M: 10:30am - 7:30pm
• T: 9:30am - 7:30pm
• W: 7:30am - 2:30pm
• TH: 7:30am - 5:30pm
• S: 7:30am - 2:30pm (2 Saturdays per month)

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of clinical procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and develop dental X-rays
• Ensure patients feel comfortable, informed, and at ease throughout their visit
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Follow all infection control and safety protocols
• Support overall office flow and contribute to a positive team environment

Qualifications

• CPR
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team setting
• Positive attitude and a passion for patient care

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience preferred
