About the role
Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to support the dental clinic at Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City, SD.
Responsibilities
- Provide chairside dental assisting during procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments
- Take and process dental X-rays
- Maintain patient records in electronic health systems
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program
- Current Dental Assistant certification in South Dakota
- 2+ years of dental assisting experience
- Radiology/X-ray certification or transcripts
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Time Management in fast pace dental clinic
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include a current Dental Assistant certification in South Dakota
- Graduated from an accredited Dental Assistant program
- 2+ years of dental assisting experience
- Experience with radiology/X-ray and EHR
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
