Dental Assistant

About the role

Toledo Dental Team is growing and seeks a Dental Assistant to support the clinical team and ensure a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Preparing patients for exams and treatment
• Aiding doctors during procedures and assisting with clinical documentation
• Creating a warm, educational, and reassuring chairside experience
• Taking digital radiographs/X-rays
• Assisting doctors and hygienists with charting
• Taking detailed notes and recording important patient information
• Maintaining a clean, sterile environment with high sanitization standards
• Learning and using dental software (or applying existing skills)
• Performing lab/back office duties such as sanitizing operatories, sterilizing instruments, stocking rooms, checking in and organizing lab cases, communicating with dental labs, and helping order supplies

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment
• Strong communication skills (with patients and team members)
• Great organization and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• A positive attitude and team-first mindset

Qualifications
