Dental Assistant

About the role

Supports the dental team in providing comprehensive oral healthcare services. Works closely with dentists and hygienists to ensure patient care standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with pre- and post-operative care
• Prepares treatment areas and equipment
• Administers local anesthesia and monitors patient responses
• Records patient data and maintains medical records
• Collaborates with the dental team to develop and implement treatment plans

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current license to practice as a dental assistant in your state
• Experience in a dental setting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dental Assisting preferred
• Knowledge of dental procedures and safety protocols
• Proficiency in computer software used in dental practices
