Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update patient records, including medical history and vital signs.
• Perform X-ray procedures, develop and store images electronically.
• Assist with periodontal charting, prepare instruments, and set up for exams.
• Mix materials with infection control awareness, provide preventive care, and apply fluoride or sealants.
• Monitor nitrous oxide analgesia under supervision (in Washington), educate patients on oral hygiene, and assist in infection control protocols.
• Support orthodontic procedures, manage clinic workflow, train staff, and ensure compliance with health standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification, and Dental Assistant or EFDA certification.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) at high proficiency.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, materials, infection control, and patient care.
• Manual dexterity, professional interaction skills, and proficiency with electronic records and Microsoft Office.
