Dental Assistant

About the role

We are excited to welcome a dedicated Dental Assistant to our team at Layton Smiles Dentistry and Orthodontics. This position offers opportunities to learn from experienced professionals and grow long-term within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Aid in patient care by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• Assist the dentist during procedures, including taking impressions, applying topical anesthesia, and managing patient flow.
• Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation of treatments provided.
• Communicate effectively with patients to ensure their comfort and understanding of their dental care plan.
• Participate in continuing education to enhance professional skills and stay updated on industry advancements.

Requirements

• Necessary industry certifications and education.
• Outstanding time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, technical skills, and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a dental setting preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

$19.00 - $26.50 per hour.
