Responsibilities

  • Partner with the practice team to provide excellent clinical support to help patients get the care they need.
  • Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist in restorative dentistry.
  • Provide excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to doctors and hygienists, including but not limited to: charting, operatory set-up/clean-up, and patient education.
  • Record and review patient health history, make chart entries under the doctor’s direction, and ensure completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
  • Review the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
  • Prepare patients, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, maintain chain of asepsis, prepare materials, and assist dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
  • Expose and develop dental diagnostic radiographs.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.

Requirements

  • Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
  • 1–5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates.
  • Radiography/X-ray certification for the respective state.
  • CPR Certification required.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Schedule

Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
