Principal Responsibilities
- Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
- Assists the Dentists and Dental Practice Manager in developing, implementing and evaluating the operation strategies of the Dental Center
- Provides assistance with patient care and dental health screenings in accordance with agency guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Provides oral health instructions, Post operative instruction and education to patients as appropriate
- Prepares documentation and provides administrative support to the Dental Center
- Sterilization of instruments following FQHC/State DOH guidelines and maintain logs and records according to agency’s policy
- Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies
- Adheres to the organization’s policy in regard to absenteeism and appearance
Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Certification by the Dental Assisting National Board (preferred)
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program (preferred)
- Valid NJ Radiology License and X-Ray Certification (required)
- Ambulatory Sterilization Certification (preferred; required by first work anniversary)
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills
- Valid NJ driver’s license and auto insurance
- Bilingual Spanish skills (a plus)
Working Conditions/Physical Demand
- Business Office Environment within a fast paced healthcare center with heavy customer service, phones and computer use; client/customer contact; sitting, fine motor hand movement, standing, walking, lifting 40 pounds, pushing, reaching, pulling

Pay and Benefits
In compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Act, the total compensation range for this position is USD $30,000.00 to USD $65,000.00. When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions. The total compensation range reflects the total package, including base salary, overtime, bonuses, add-on incentives, special clinical compensation, retirement plans, and all other benefits.
