Dental Assistant
About the role
Mid America Health is seeking a Full-Time Portable Dental Assistant to join the growing School Smiles team. This position is based out of the Leitchfield, KY area (within a 2‑hour radius) and involves providing portable dental services to children at local schools Monday through Friday during school hours. It is a low‑stress, non‑private‑practice opportunity that offers excellent work‑life balance, allowing you to leave work at work and attend to personal matters after your shift. Responsibilities
- Maintain portable equipment and supplies, as well as the company van (which remains in your possession at all times).
- Assist the dentist with portable operatory setup inside schools and chairside procedures as needed.
- Load, unload, and set up the dental operatory inside school facilities.
- Perform various administrative duties.
Requirements
- Active Kentucky X‑ray License (must).
- Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
- One year of dental assistant experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel within a 2‑hour radius.

Pay
Hourly rate of $27.00 per hour for clinic hours worked and drive time.
Schedule
Five days per week (Monday‑Friday) during school hours; no weekend hours required.
