Dental Assistant

Mid America Health (MAH) is seeking a dental assistant to join our Ohio team at the Correctional Reception Center in Orient, OH.

This full-time position offers a rewarding, low-stress alternative to private practice dentistry. You will work with a grateful, underserved patient population, providing a true sense of value and importance. The role includes both administrative and routine chairside duties with a focus on administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, restorative, extraction, and prosthodontic care
• Assist with very limited endodontic procedures (no ortho or crown & bridge required)
• Handle administrative duties (training provided)

Requirements

• 1 year of experience strongly preferred
• Certificate from an accredited dental assisting program preferred
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
• Active Ohio Dental Radiographer license

Per ODRC policy, this facility is smoke-free.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (40 hours per week). No late nights or weekends required.

Pay

Competitive compensation starting at $19+ per hour, plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus.
